Where I stayed
Hideaway Bungalows
While in Sengiggi, Wandering_man and WW Iost track of the date, and at 11 AM on December 1 realized it was not November 30. We scrambled and managed to get a Perama Shuttle to Kuta Beach, arriving around 5:30 (thankfully without incident).
My friend Greg was home to welcome us, as was his son Willie and Wille's Sasak cousin Dyong, and bibi Nina. We had the first of many outstanding feasts prepared by Nina (who is, without question, the world’s BEST cook) and stayed in Greg’s house in the upstairs bedroom.
The next day WW saw the bungalow and was in love. So on December 2 we packed up and moved over there.
Been pretty much lazy beach bums, swimming, lazing around the bungalow most of the time so far.
Celebrated out 18th anniversary on December 6 with a catered dinner of jumbo prawn and lobster, grilled by Made (mah-day)-a guy WM used to teach English during a Feb-March 2009 stay here- delivered to the bungalow where it was enjoyed by candlelight. (WM won some good romantic husband points for this.)
WW bought a lovely sarong (cotton, not rayon) on Sunday market day for 40,000 rupiah ($4, see pics).
Internet is very slow in Kuta Beach-this entry is being made in Praya, where it is not much better-- at the faster internet place, as we rented a moto today and Wandered.

Too cool. That puppy picture is so cute! Don't let them eat the puppy. :) We are in the middle of a blizzard here. They say it's the worst snow storm in 15-20 years. Everything is shut down. I so wish I was there. What a great experiance. Keep posting, I love reading & seeing what you two are doing. BTW, you both look 15 years younger in these pictures, Talk to ya later.
