Bus Driver from the Mekong to Saigon actually blew his horn 32 time in one minute, including 3 times on the ferry. If you haven't been to Viet Nam, you just can't grasp what WM is talking about.
Litter--a terrible problem here 8 years ago- has been virtually eliminated by market forces ($$$ for plastic recycle). And--unlike most other Asian cities, Saigon has waste receptacles on most corners.
Dalat and the Central Highlands. It is raining and 60 degrees. Welcome to Seattle. They grow nice strawberries here. Former French hill station to escape the unrelenting lowland heat.
Had the best food I ever ate in Dalat at the Hoa Sen. Hue cuisine--$1.50. Also took a cable car between peaks. Lots of photos.
Hotel $12, balcony, free fast in room wifi, duvet, satellite TV with HBO and Cinemax. Sweet.
