I've been embarassingly bad about updating. I thought I would get a chance over the end of year holiday but at the last minute I decided to join some friends in Japan!
It was a lovely holiday and fantastic way to bring in the new year. If what they say (I really do think it's a bunch of poppycock though) about what you do new year's eve tells about next year is remotely true, then 2007 will be a year to boot!
Fukuoka is a beautiful, peaceful and yet overwhelming Japanese city. I didn't see half the things I wanted to or even thought I might. I am 100% planning on going to Tokyo this year. It was a great experience to see Japan after spending six months in Korea. Especially interesting to be able to make language, cultural, and visual distinctions. It was even more interesting to come back to Korea and go through all those emotions and realizations. I like the laid-back, slightly-crazy feeling of Korea. But Japan is equally fabulous for such different reasons.
I am going to get this blog caught up through December now, and hopefully all of 2006 will be up shortly!
