Where I stayed
The trip up the river was interesting to say the least, on the way up it was pouring rain non-stop for the entire hour ride. Now picture a little boat with 12 people crammed into it with nothing but ponchos to cover themselves. When they told us to take the ferry up to Livingston I was expecting that, a ferry not a little Gilligan's Island boat...lol. Half way through the trip we stopped at a spot called Agua Caliente which turns out to be a natural hot spring. After messing around there for a while we jumped back on the boat and finally arrived in Livingston.
Upon arriving in Livingston we decided on a Hostel with a private room and free Internet. While there we met a couple people from Europe and the states. One girl in particular( Blair) invited us to tag along as she was going to check out some waterfalls called "Siete Altares". After an hour and a half hike( yeah that's right) we finally made it to the falls.
Later that night we all ate dinner and decided to go out to a local club that played Punta( traditional Garifuna music...think Soca), Dancehall, and Reggaeton. Looking around the club we were the only non-natives there...lol. Well it turned out to be a fun and entertaining night. Some of the pictures didn't come out to well, but I'll post them up anyway.
