What I did

Today we caught the bus from near our hotel to Venice, gee I love public transport. All went well & 15 minutes later we were there. Place a lot cleaner than I remember from last time but that was a long time ago with a Contiki tour. Place bought back a lot of memories. All Travis wanted to do was go on a gondola but he had to wait. Did a lot of walking & photo's, which you will all have to wait for the slide night which no doubt you are all looking forward to. Had a coffee in San Marco Square, as requested my our favourite Canadian, Tonto. Dearest coffee I've had at 8 Euro ($11) but when in Rome as they say or at least Venice. A walk around with all the other tourists till lunch. Couldn't put it off any longer & had to look for a gondola man. What we thought was to be 8 Euro per person turned out to be 80 Euro but what do you do. Everyone ended up happy, especially the gondolier, who was a bit upset we didn't pay him an extra 20 to sing for us, but Travis stepped up to the plate & performed well. Spot of window shopping till Alice had an altercation in  a shop over some broken merchandise & police were just about to be called with Alice insisting they do. Then common sense prevailed & she paid the 1 Euro fifty cents and we left after a few more words were exchanged. Now you can see why I'm scared of her. Wasn't funny at the time but laughing about it now. Would of been a difficult choice for me to bail her out or let her sit in a Venice prison cell waiting for high tide though. We will never know. Left the scene of the crime & had dinner & caught the bus back home, have I said how much I love public transport? We don't think we have had a bad dinner since arriving except Macca's or Burger King.
Weather getting cooler and only 17 today. Off towards Austria tomorrow but not sure where will stop, that's if we can sneak across the boarder. Slowly making our way to Munich.
Till next time.
