The weather started off fine with lots of sunshine and the locals were back on the street in t-shirts. It was time to check out Pete's driving on the wrong side of the road. We hired a little Peugeot and went to Vlaardingen to visit Mums girlfriend Auntie Kok, Uncle Wim and family. Thank God for GPS, if we didn't have one who knows where we would have ended up. We had a great day with the family and Rachel and Travis met up with Katinka and Josephene, Kok's great granddaughters, and both girls spoke very good English, after a few awkward momens they started talking and playing and then the were best buddies. We stayed for lunch and of course were overfed with soup and rolls, afternoon tea and lots of goodies. Om Wim's main task of the day was to make the coffee and Pete said the coffee was the best he'd had since going on holidays. After many photo's we had to say a sad farewell and head back to Amsterdam. Thank goodness for good highways and little traffic, we made it back to the car hire place by the skin of our teeth with 5 minutes to spare. Of course when we dropped off the car it started to rain and our rain jackets were back at the hotel. Hungry Jacks for dinner and relaxing back in the room watching Australian Masterchief. TV is good Holland, all TV shows are in English with dutch sublitles, no wonder everyone speaks English. We had such a great day.
