Where I stayed
FeWo Cityhome Munich
What I did
Airport & Trainstation
Alice took us for a walk into town to her favourite place to eat in Munich . Yet another tavern, Augustiner Om Dom. Another great meal & a few beers. Walked around the main street then back home.
Sleep in tomorrow then into the city for a proper look around, maybe the BMW museum.
Left Schwengau in the fog. Finally on the last day we managed to set the GPS in the car so it didn't go onto tolls or freeways, so have nothing to whinge about. Came along all the back country roads past little 1 lift ski fields in farmers paddocks. Alice & I enjoyed it but the kids played their Ipads so feel some of it was wasted. Had to drop the car off at the airport but it had to be full so do you think a petrol station was on the way in. No. Had to turn back around to find one as they charge a fortune if the car is not full. Learnt that the hard way in Amsterdam. All done with a minimum of fuss, although Alice will tell a different story no doubt. Dropped the car off & caught the train into town. All went quite easily really even though it was public transport. Rented an apartment off a website, CityHome, which has turned out great. Nice apartment within walking distance to city centre plus now don't have to worry about a car or parking.
