It's raining - but maybe that's a blessing in disguise as the temperature is above zero. Not too cold. Our guided bus tour through Nuremberg with Ulrike - very interesting.

Christkindl Weihnachtsmarkt - lovely. I can walk through these markets for hours. Walk with Jody from US. Walter fetches and runs with us to Lorenzkirche - free organ concert. J.S. Bach (Praeldium Fugue); Grundmann (Pastorale "vom Himmel hoch"); and then jazzy "lobe den Herrn" (by Brita Leutert-Falch, born 1966): beautiful church - beautiful music. this is more like it -Christmas music I like!

We eat 3 sausages in bread roll, try Gluehwein , Lebkuchen (best I have ever eaten - definitely better than those you buy in the packet); we walk through Sebaldus Kirche which was terribly damaged during WWII. Tired after 3 hours of walking we run into Reggie and Jean and decide to go hot chocolate at the restaurant. where the bus will pick us up. Walter isits the toy museum and really loves it. All the toys of his youth (steam enjins) and Marklin (the German version of Meccano).

Back at the boat -we have coffee and cake. Then happy hour (2 for 1). Later - gala evening. Our trip starts with a locke. All excited. Aparantly we will go through 19 lockes - after the third one - you have had enough! The boat fits only JUST! After dinner - dancing in lounge with Guenzenheimer Swing Board.
