so the next two days pretty much rolled into one...we arrived in paris about 4 ish...our train from nice was delayed about an hour.  upon arriving in in paris we had planned on meeting evan...(he took an earlier train than us...) under the center of the Eiffel Tower around 630...so we left our bags in the train station lockers and headed into the city.  we also had to find a place to stay cause at that point we had nothing...we figured we could prob camp somewhere...but wanted to get that squared up before we went out.  Lucky for nick and me, luis speaks pretty good french, and he had been to paris before, so we stopped by the hostel he stayed at last time, to see if they had room.  nothing there and she said basically everything was filled...i guess there is some international air show in paris this weekend or something...like everything is full.  she did call a random lady who supposedly had a room available.  we went there and it was kinda sketchy...like 25 euro per person a night, but the place was kinda dirty...o well.  we then met up with evan and luis and headed into town.  we heard there was a big music festival near the Bastille in Paris...the storming of the Bastille started the French Revolution in 1789.  once we got there there were already tons of people there...the streets were all shut down, and bands were playing everywhere.  we got some wine and beer and joined everyone in enjoying the music.  by like 10 we had to make a decision of what we were going to do the rest of the ngiht...the station lockers closed at 1045...evan's hostel had a 2am curfew...so basically we all decided we'd stay up the entire ngiht...we figured there'd be lots of parties. the music lasted till sometime after midnight...maybe 1230 ish...by that time there were sooo many people everywhere.  it was really cool to walk the streets of paris and see everything that was gonig  on.  we walked a lot...from the bastille all the way to the eiffel tower...there were tons of crazy historical bridges along the way...the cathedral of notre dame, and we randomly stumbled upon a huge statue of mr. thomas jefferson...cool to see him out here.  the cathedral of notre dame was incredible, and with the music and drumming going on it added to the flavor of paris.  because it was the music festival and the summer solstis, people were everywhere.  it was crazy fun.  we ended up at the tower around 5, and the sun was just coming up.  the sunrise in paris was amazing...i can see how so many artists come to paris and get inspired...we thought we'd be the first ones to climb the tower in the morning but it didn't open till 9...we were already pretty tired.  we had been up the entire day before...went out in Nice, slept about 3 hrs, then got up and packed to go to paris.  we also had to get help evan get to the airport...so by like 7, after sitting in the park for a couple hours, we all cruised out to evan hostel...in the monmarte area, and then to charled de guall airport.  Super confusing airport...so after no sleep, it would have been really tough to do by yourself.  dropped him off around 10, then were headed back to our train station to get our bags, then to the random lady's house to sleep.  at this point we were all super tired...we had been up like 38 hrs, with like 3 hrs sleep...and tons of walking.  we ended up missing our stop on the train, and ended up like super far out of the city...the train went a while before it stopped...so that sucked.  like 2 hurs later we got our bags, and finally got to the lady's house with th beds around 130...but she never had given us a key...so more waiting until someone came down to open the door.  finally 230pm we went to sleep. we were crazy tired.  we didn't wake up till 830am the next morning.  all three of us admited that was the longest we had ever slept.  we found a legit hotel in paris, for not much more than we paid the lady, so we got our stuff, and went there.  today will be low key...maybe the tower, maybe the louvre...we have tomorrow day in paris too...then monday morning we head to amsterdam.  i'll add some pics of the last few days soon.  hope you aall are well.  we're having mad fun here.  byebye

So sleepy....
It makes me tired just reading this! Missing the train stop - that's the point where I'd break down crying. You young whippersnappers have fun for all of us who can't dream of missing a nights sleep.
