Yesterday Jorge and Pauli picked me up and we drove to Valparaiso. We first stopped to have a look around Viņa Del Mar. It has developed considerably since my last visit 17 years ago. It was nice to visit here again. We then drove to Reņaca. This was my favourite beach back in 95, but may the development has spoiled it a little. The beach is still beautiful. We continued on to Con Con where we stopped for lunch at a nice restaurant right on the water. You guessed it, I had seafood again. I think my omega 3 levels have maxed out here.
We then had a cleansing beer, just sitting and looking over the water. It was a beautiful day, clear sunny skies with temperature reaching about 30.

At this stage I have already taken about 60 photos.

We now venture on to Valparaiso. This city is world heritage listed because of its unique architecture, with a mish mash of different styles. Very colourful, but also quite disturbing see the shanty town housing that surrounds the city, however the place has its own beauty and is a fascinating place to visit.

We spent most of our time out of the main city and walked the back streets up the hill a little.

We did need a little drink so we stopped at a restaurant and had a nice cold beer looking over Valparaiso and Vina del Mar.

We returned to Santiago in the evening. It was a spectacular sight driving into the City with a rare clear sky and the Sun shining on the Andes. The colour was magnificent

Later that night we went Jorge's home to meet the whole family and had a nice BBQ.
Again we had lots of Pisco, beer and wine.

It was a nice night we returned to bed at about 2.am.
