We left Santiago early in the afternoon for the 120 km drive to Santo Domingo south west of Santiago. It is on the coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a holiday house area for well off people, who mainly live in Santiago. The quality of housing for holiday houses is quite incredible. Anyway we arrived in the afternoon and after some refreshments, we went to a restaurant in a club. It was very nice and the food was lovely, after 3 bottles of wine and Some Pisco we went back to the house. We had a few night caps. Pancho brought out the JW black label whiskey. 2 of those and I was ready for bed.

The following day (Saturday) the family arrived at the house. The weather was magnificent so we sat around the pool and had a few drinks Pisco sour of course and a few beers. Pancho fired up the BBQ and we had some magnificent ribs and and then some beef. We then all ended up in the spa. We were having Jack Daniels whiskey with coke. A 50/50 mix. I should have known better but the moment got the better of me and I became a little over cleansed.

Sunday was a quieter day with a few beers and Pisco sours and seafood for lunch, including sea urchins and prawns.
The rest of the afternoon we just sat around the pool.Later on we down to the local pizza place for pizza.
On Monay we drove back to Santiago via the coast going through mainly coastal holiday towns.
Firstly we drove through San Antonio.which is now a major port for Chile, then up to Cartagena, then El Tabo and Algarrobo before getting back onto the freeway.

It was nice to have this relaxing time. It was very nice and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
