Being on a small island it is sometimes hard to get enough exercise walking, which is why kayaking is good. Not that exercise is the real reason we thought it would be a smart idea to load up the kayaks with diving equipment and go diving. It's more that we wanted to check out a different dive sight, and since we didn't have enough customers to pay for the gas for the boat to make it to the other side of the island, why not kayak? Plus a bit of adventure is a good thing. So all of us roomies geared up.

3 kayaks, 6 people, 12 scuba tanks.

The teams: Matt and Tony, Noriko and Orlando, Myself and Sean

The Plan: Kayak to the beach, portage the gear across into the lagoon to shave off some tme and then kayak through the mangrove canals of the island until we come out on the opposite side in Rock Harbour. 2 dives at Rock Harbour and then we'll return.

Of course things don't always go as planned.

We got up about 2 hours late. The kayaking there took an hour longer than we thought. I got a paddle to the rib cage. Noriko tipped over their kayak and caused a delay finding Orlando's equipment. The kayaks came untied from the bouy and one drifted all the way to the far beach. And all this meant we only got to do one dive. But we still had fun.
