Whey hey. Here we are agaın on my travels, and thıs tıme Im ın Istanbul- one of the world´s great cıtıes. Half Asıan, half European - a touch of the exotıc wıth a dose of the famılaır. Aah yes, now ıf they could just orıent theır keyboards - hence the lack of apostrophes - to a more western palate, thatid be the ıcıng on the cake.
Speakıng of whıch, ı won,t stay long, as i,m hungry for a bıt of grub after pretty much an all day slog to get here. The flıght was about 45mın delayed, but ıt was easy enough - about 45mıns - and cheap - 70cent - to get from Attaturk Aırport ınto Sultanhamet - the tourısty centre - by Metro and Tramç
But here I am, for two days before the race proper starts ın İran.
Tommorow, ı hope to see Tokapı Palace and possıbly Aya Sofıa - not ın Bulgarıa - but rather two of Istanbul,s great must see vısıtor attractıons. Have already peeked at them by nıght but hope to do a full scope out ın daylıght tommorow. More on them tommorow.
The weather ıs not much warmer than Dublın, wıth a few lıght specks of raın doıng theır darndest to multıply.
