Up 545 for a 700 leaving. Cut my finger taking down the tent and bled over everything for a bit. I found it easy to doze on the bus (I can never truly sleep) due to lack of sleep. I was a total zombie the 1st stop and dozed till lunch also. Lots of people are commenting on the fact that I am wearing a t-shirt today as I usually wear button up shirts and am told I have a very neat appearance! It was windy at lunch, a taste of things to come as we are now in Patagonia (southern Chile and Argentina) which is famous for being windswept and bleak (and thatīs what we saw the rest of the afternoonīs travelling). We got into Perito Moreno at 800, it is bigger than a spot in the road but not by much and is distinguised by a lack of anything remeotely interesting. Set up camp on dust (a lot of people upgraded to dorm rooms tonight) - the wind was strong and cold. After dinner Dave, Iceman and I went looking for an internet place and amazingly found one 3 blocks off the main street. I still hadnīt heard from Susie and it was late Sunday morning in Brisbane so I ran back to a telephone ccaling centre weīd passed but still couldnīt get hold of her at home or on mobile. Back at the campsite 1030. People were talking but I didnīt feel like it so shaved my beard off as we are going to be camping for quite a few days.
