If ever passing through Cairns and Townsville you have to make sure you include Tully white water rafting on your itinery - even if your not the adventurous type.
It's a big day and the anticipation builds from the moment you step off the bus at the R n R stop off point in Tully - which also doubles as a backpacker lodge.
From there you head up to Tully Gorge and before you know it your on the river heading down through mounds of water and over cascades.
The lunch stop over point is incredibly picturesque in a small quiet area of the river, and R n R put on a fantastic meal. Soon afterwards it begins again and finishes in a huge drop into an open area of the river. If you can stay on the raft in that drop your doing well...
Its an action packed day and there's nothing like the feeling of coming back down to Tully to relax at a nice resort in Mission Beach and have a laugh over a few drinks.
