We got off to a slow start this morning, but it was a beautiful day.  The bags packed and in the car, the dog kissed good-bye and told to be a good boy until the son comes home from school this afternoon, and we were off.

I made the mistake of telling the Hubby he could stop and finalize the buying of a tractor on our way through Petersburg,NY.  He told me it would be a quick stop, but an hour and half latter, and I still hadn't had my breakfast, and was beginning to wonder if I should have gone on my Anniversary trip alone.  We stopped at little dinner and a short stack of pancakes latter I decided that maybe I did still loved the old fart.

We fought our way out of Albany,NY picked up I-88 and zipped on through to Binghamton,NY and on into PA.  The road work in PA was offal and added a good hour to our trip.  I was never so glad as to see the sign for Cabala's in Hamburg,PA up a head only ten miles to go.  We pulled off and got a late lunch at the Cracker Barrel, than went to shop for more things we don't need in Cabala's.  We didn't buy much, and to tell the truth I did not enjoy the store.  It's a pretty place to look at, but the people working there aren't all that friendly, nor are they helpful.  I will give them credit for having some really good fudge, and it being a great place to stretch out.

Than it was on for a short drive to Ephrata,PA and the Hampton Inn for the night.  This is a nice hotel, and I would say it's fairly new.  Thankfully after having been on the road all day we found that the Apple-bee's right next door delivers, so we had dinner in our room [that's still kind of romantic after all these years], and we'll settle in to the nice plush bed so we can rest up for tomorrow's adventure.  We are here in Ephrata so that we can go to the Green Dragon Market tomorrow.
