Meanwhile we plan our route according to the weather forecast. "Thunderstorms in Argentina" + "Rain at the Brazilian coast" = "Right through the middle". A small road at the other side of the river would lead us in the right direction.
We crossed the argentinan border, took the ferry and arrived in Brazil.
But there was just a local border on the other side - so they sent us bac, an internacional border would be 100 km further down the Rio Uruguay.
We took the ferry and entered Argentina again (including all the stamps and paperworks).
When we arrived at that border it was closed - siesta. While waiting it started to rain again.
Then we crossed the Argentina border a third time, took the ferry and entered Brazil succesfully.
Meanwhile it was 4 pm and again raining heavily with thunder and lightning. We decided to look for a place to sleep. The lady in the tourist information didnīt understand Spanish nor English and talked Portuguese always at full speed. What we understood was, that the next hotel would be an one-hour-drive. Finally we got help from a passenger. The supermarket at the bus stop had some rooms for passengers. Everything with a solid roof was better than driving an hour through that rain.
