The weather forecast announced soaking showers. We thought a shower can*t be that heavy and started on a cloudy morning. Around noon it began to drizzle and we put our rain jackets on.
Slowly but steadily the rain became heavier and we decided to stop for something to eat in Esquina. It was already siesta time. We drove around the village and the only thing that was open was the shop at the gas station. When we entered we were shock frosted, as they had their air condition on maximum power. Even though they shut it down for us it was awfully cold and we decided to move on, as it was warmer outside. But the soaking shower was still to come. It rained cats and dogs. The rain jackets did their job perfectly, the rest was drained: Trousers, shoes, gloves. In the next village we took the first hotel and tried to dry our stuff with the heater (I assume they have it only for drying clothes as it is was not getting cold during the night).
