I got a late start on today, but I was passing by the internet cafe on the way to the Minstrel and figured I would stop in for a quick update. Last night when I left the cafe, I decided to hunt down some late night fun. I had read about one club that was having an event that seemed like it would be fun. Turned out it was about 100 feet from the cafe so I went to check it out. I didn't stay but for a minute because the music only so-so, the place was tiny, and it was already quite crowded, so no room to dance. I was on my way home when I heard live music from inside a cool looking old building, used to be the courthouse. I went in and sat down and listened to the rest of the guy's set, about 4 more songs. He was playing acoustic guitar and singing and was quite good. Reminded me of Dave Lovett in a way, up there all by himself. Of course, not nearly as good as Dave, but hey, not everyone can be the next Elton John! ; ) Anyway, the guy played a few covers, one from Maroon 5 (She Will Be Loved), and then played one of his own originals. It was awesome! So I bought his album. Clothes and music really do make the best souvenirs I think.

After all that excitement I went home for a shower and bed. I think my body was worn down from major allergies yesterday, and I ended up sleeping till 10. I set my alarm for 7:30, then 8, then 9, then just turned it off. I'm feeling a lot better now than I did earlier. I am now drinking an orange mango smoothie drink thing, and ready to head out to York Minstrel. Only a few hours left in York, then it's Scotland here I come!

Cheers!

You are definatley moving right along my dear. Almost to Scotland, wow. That was faster than I had anticipated you would get there.
Yes, sleep is generally important, especially when the allergies kick in! Well, until next post...

Luv you,
John
