I was sorry to leave St Andrews NB this morning. After all, the Atlanticade Bike Rally goes until Sunday and I will miss that bike parade from St A to St Stephen. Oh, well, it was fun to talk to people and see all the bikes on the main street area closed off for bikes and the live bands.
My husband and I ran a used biker goods table where all the money went to the local food bank. It was successful for a first year offering and we hope to return to Atlanticade next year with even more.
The ride to Truro was sunny and warmish. The St John River Valley was lovely on a day like today - a patchwork of green farms and villages. Lots of bikes on the road, esp heading in the St A direction. The only thing to cause raised eyebrows were 2 signs together warning of an oil spill and flying rocks. Thankfully neither caused a problem.
Arriving at the motel in the early afternoon I had the parking lot to myself. I'd hoped for a 1st floor room but, no, the place is booked! Really.
Drove around Truro a bit, trying to see what the attractions were to fill up the motel, but must have missed the signs.
