Yes, there is a National Historic site by that name (in fact it's a UNESCO site, up there with Lascaux pictographs). I visited there and was impressed first with how the complex fits into the landscape so appropriately. The film set up the story of the site and the exhibits were well thought out. The Rockies are visible from the heights and I suspect many people opt for the shuttle bus to bring them up from the parking lot (it was not available in this off-season time.)

From there I visited downtown Okotoks and ate a wonderful lunch at the Divine Cafe. Just delicious fare. A lovely visit with family nearby topped off the day.
