Rome - New Year's Day
Took it easy in the morning - it's a holiday and we didn't get in until 1.30 am following the New Year's celebrations. Also it was raining steadily - the first meaningful rainfall all tour.
We weren't going to let a little precipitation deter our intrepid adventures... treading where only millions of tourists had before!
Grabbed the open topper up to the Circus Maximus ... it started pouring on our walk back up to the Colosseum. We were back up to Col and the Spanish Steps
