What I did
Car trip from Orangeburg to Charlotte
Up at the crack of dawn, our faithful team ventured to Charlotte, NC as the first leg of our trip. We were all nervous and excited to see what the future held for our trip! We were confident, though, because we knew that God had great things in store for us. In preparation for this trip, we held several meetings with Mr. Dan and Mrs. Lucy Plunkett, the missionaries we would be working with in Italy. We learned several songs in Italian and had taken on walking regimens to prepare us for the exercise we would be getting as we walked the hills of our destination: Palombara Sabina.
I, for one, was super excited to be going. I grew up as a missionary kid to Venezuela and had seen teams come and go, but never really experienced the culture shock that they experienced. Venezuela always felt like home to me, so this was going to be a big change. I kissed my boyfriend, Quinn, good-bye and told him not to wreck my car and I was ready to go!
