Hello sweeties

My friends back home said I was crazy to start my travels Iran. But after reading about the Persian Empire (Iran was formely called Persia), in history class, I knew that I had to start off my spiritual journey here. They said that it would be dangerous for me, especially being a proudly gay man to travel to such a extremely religious country, but what is religion about, except accepting your fellow man?

Iran is famous for many things, including the Persian Empire, being conquered by Alexander the Great, the SAS storming the Irani Embassy in the 80's, and also for the chicks.

I landed in the capital city of Tehran about four hours ago. The locals seem really friendly, and wave to me by running their fingers over their throats which is nice. Even when I was in my taxi from the airport to my hotel, the local were pinned up against the window, welcoming me and chanting 'Cool, the white man'. I think thats what they were saying anyway.

Tomorrow i'm heading south, to an area called Al-Salemi-Abdallah, which my fabulous taxi driver informed me, means 'bandit country'. Super. As a bandit myself, I cant wait.
