Our first day trip outside of Vienna - we decided to visit Rust (pronounced more like Roost). Very quaint town on a lake about an hour outside of Vienna. The lake is something like 30 sq miles, but never deeper than 5 ft - so it is very popular in the summer for swimming and sailing. We went in ealry fall, just in time to sample some fantastic wine and enjoy the changing of the seasons. We also realized that the city is known for being the summer residence for a large stork population. While we didn't see any birds, we did witness the very large nests on top of many houses.
