The beaches in Phuket have a couple of advantages over other in the country, they aremaintained, cleaned from time to time and there is some infrastructure around. I came in from Cambodia the other day and the negative thing at a Cambodia beach is mostly there is no infrastructure, only at the popular Sihanouville beaches. It is clear that remote beaches cant have a infrastructure.
Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya, Hat Yai, Sadao (border to Malaysia) and Chiang Mai are the main nightlife spots in the country. Phuket is among the top three, there are amazing things going on after the sun dive into the Andaman Sea, thats the time when the pleasure night starts, bar and restaurants open, the nightclub girls move in, music is up and the first beers are opened. Try Heineken Beer, almost everyone get a headache from the local beer.
The ladies get up onto the tables and start to move and shake their butts, some of them are real good looking, actually there are almost no local ladies in the nighclub business, the ladies are all from elsewhere. Most come from north Thailand, the call that Issan and some of them come from Laos and Myanmar to earn some money, they all hope to find a "big spender" and are willing to go the extra mile for it, thats the business of the naughty girls. Women coming in from Myanmar often have worked as Myanmar Model Girls in the nightlife at Yangon.
