Today is our first real long day of travel. Yesterday, Sunday, we got only as far as from Indianapolis to New York via Washngton....two relatively short flights before the long one today. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. The only room that was available was a smoking room....woke up this morning smelling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes.  Today we fly on South African Airways all the way from JFK to Johannesburg non-stop.  It used to be one of the longest commercial flights, but probably not now with the advent of the 787,  This day begins with vitamins and doxycyclene for malaria.

We are looking forward to seeing all the people in Malawi and Zambia that we have gotten quite fond of since we first met some of them in 1996 in Zimbabwe. After that Beverly and I have gotten
more and more involved with them as far as humanitarian support, but also with the Church.

On our flight is fellow Feast-goer Henry Khembo who lives maybe 15 minutes from JFK.  He has been with us the past three Feasts in Malawi.  He is a Malawian who married an American and now lives here.  He is always generous and caring for his people in Malawi.  Probably will be the same again this year.

Stay with us....

Vic and Bev
