I'm pleased to say that after the first day of torrential rain, I didn't see much more after that, and it was mostly sunny, giving me a chance to work on my tan, which is coming along rather nicely!
I'm finding there's not really much to report from Samui, as all I did was lie on the beach and drink cocktails as the sun went down. Not very exciting, but just what I needed! Last night I went to one of the best restaurants on the island and slapped it all on my credit card. I thought I deserved a treat! The chef was French and the food was beautiful, I had 3 courses, smoked salmon, monkfish, chilled carrot soup, two glasses of wine and coffee and it came to 25 pound. An extortionate amount here, but it won't seem so bad when the credit card bill comes in when I'm back at home!
So, I'm now on my way to Koh Lanta, which has taken 3 buses and a ferry so far. I'm waiting for my final bus which should get me there in 2 hours. I've been up since 5 am and will have been travelling for 12 hours! My hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi so I'll be making full use of that!
