Decided to have a sleep in today after Cirque Du Soleil and Downtown LA experience last night, didn’t get back till just before midnight and everyone feeling a little jaded.
Breakfast was really brunch by the time we got organised and everyone happy just sitting around talking about yesterdays adventures.
Went to get some more groceries and found another shoe shop next door so had to help the US economy some more!
Got ready for Disneyland and headed over at 4pm to catch the parade at 4.30pm. Decided to try and do the shows and see the parades we hadn’t managed to catch up with yet. Being Sunday there were lots of people around but it was the last chance we would have to see the fireworks display and Fantasmic water and light show. The queues were long for rides but we thought that a lot of people with small kids would leave after the parade (and they did), then a lot more would go after the fireworks finished at 10pm (and they did) and after Fantasmic finished at 11pm (and they did!!). We had a great view of the fireworks from just in front of the Walt Disney statue down main street then headed straight over to the river and got an even better position on the bridge to watch the water show. I took the kids off to do the pirates ride which meant 15 minutes less spent waiting for the show to start. Perfect.
A real treat to see them both, great fireworks produced to a story about different characters and parts of Disneyland, then Fantasmic was similar to the ‘World of Colour’ show from California Adventure the other night so that was great too.
All done at 11pm which gave us 1 hour until the park closed to do rides. Used our fast passes to do the Haunted House then over to the Thunder Mountain roller coaster which had no queue so had three goes at that. Ashleigh thought it was great that Riff (Paul) could do this one without getting a dodgy head, although after three goes one after the other he politely refused the offer of round four with "buggar that!" Picking the scales were about to tip.
Off to Star Tours simulator for one last go on our way out the gate.
Five very tired children. Sam could hardly walk and Rosie legs tired but jaw still ok. All very pleased to make it to bed.
No plans for tomorrow.
