Ok, this is one of my favourite entries so far. Nothing has compared to the first time I set foor inseide Old Trafford, climbed the millions of stairs to the top of the North Stand and walked out to the seats. The view that greeted me was, to a 13 year old, magical. As I settled in my seat with my uncle and cousin around me, the crowd started singing and erupted when the players appeared on the pitch. Nothing will compare to watching Eric Cantona playing and the stadium lost a bit of magic the day Eric left. I will never forget the day I saw David Beckham play for the first time, and take pride in knowing I recognised how good he was well before he was so famous.
Luckily I never saw Manchester United lose a match, and I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful seats. The best being in the first row next to the corner flag on the East Stand, close enough to touch the players if I so wished.
I've not been for several years now, having lost interest in the game due to overpaid, over indulged thugs who now dominate the game.
