Today we were up early for a boat trip out to an island just off of Nha Trang. After last nights escapades it was a bit of a challenge to rise from my extremely comfy sack! As Lorna had not joined us on the late night binge, she was up and lively this morning. However, I do believe she was more lively just because I was in a desperate state!!
Anyway, I managed to haul my excessively large ass out of the bed and onto the bus for the short trip to the boat. The journey on the boat only took about an hour, but there were times when I didn't think I would make it! But I was determined not to let Lorna have the last laugh. I was helped in my quest by the fact that about another 6 of our group were also in a similar state to myself. The good thing aswell was that we had the entire boat to ourselves - a bit like a private charter!
When we arrived at the cove just off a small island, it was beautiful. The one thing I needed was to jump in from the top of the boat to refresh myself. Pete, Chris and myself spent the next hour doing this trying to revive ourselves - and we were successful. Following this we had a really enjoyable day diving, swimming, snorkelling and bombing the local sealife!! We also had a fantastic seafood BBQ on board the boat - although I didn't partake in too much food as hunger was not a part of my feelings as yet - however, nothing went to waste as Lorna helped me out with my share!!
Also whilst on the boat there were ladies giving massages, pedicures, manicures and threading (don't ask!). Lorna had a pedicure and manicure as I lay deathlike on the edge of the boat. It was a really relaxing and enjoyable day - you realise how lucky you can be sometimes when you are in surroundings like this!
After the boat trip, Lorna went off shopping with Desney and Charlotte. As dangerous as this sounds, I didn't really have a leg to stand on after my drunken delights from the night before. Luckily she didn't go as crazy as I would have expected.
For dinner we headed off to the Guava bar with some of the group and Lorna had pizza why I finally had my peppered chicken, although with mashed potato instead of pasta. It was fantastic! We stayed here for the full duration of Happy Hour then headed to a bar called Crazy Kim's because their Happy Hour still had another 2 hours to run - it's all a bit confusing, but it saves you a fortune in the long run! This is where we hit the two for one cocktails and they acctually played some pretty good music here. We finally ended up in a bar around the corner from the hotel where a game of pool and more beers were enjoyed into the night! Tomorrow would see a turn in the fortunes of the Vickers duo as it would be Lorna who would be carrying the hangover!!!!
