As the morning blushed pink at 6am all rose to bask in the glory of another day in paradise. Slowly the day unfolded with coffee on the balcony and later cereal inside.  Everyone then decided to trek to the front desk to plan our week.  Once that was taken care of; Cindy, Barb, and Jeff set off to the beach (showing none of the tender skin that suffered so much the first day) while Becky stayed back to get a massage in the room.  Joining the gang at Beau Beau's Beach Bar we all had lunch then headed back to the beach to relax a little more.  However, nature had other plans!  The clouds rolled in and the wind picked up and at that moment Mother Nature decided to sneeze and up and out of the sand Becky's beach umbrella flew.  We decided that it was time to head on in! It was a lazy afternoon with naps all around.  But wait... the best is yet to come.

Gambling at the Westin was the agenda for the evening, but first we stop by the welcome party in the atrium where food, drink, King Beau Beau's great band, and the drawings for all the "door" prizes.    All, including Jeff, got their raffle tickets and decided to stay to see if they could win something free.   As the free dinner for two at Infinity, bottles of liquor, cigars, and other sundries were raffled off Jeff's anxiety level rose and at one point turned to us and said "Oh man I never win anything".   For the final, grand prize of the night this year, we were all disappointed that a free week wasn't on the table.   Instead Ingrid announced that a special piece of jewelry -  a 2 carat sapphire worth $500 was the prize to be had.   The announcer had all hold up their tickets as each number was slowly called, until only the last digit remained and most had dropped their hands.  0-8-1-4-7.... NINE Jeff called out, followed by the announcers NINE!  Jeff had won!!   Jeff literally ran across the room to claim his prize...and announced to Beau Beau and all that he was giving his prize to his Mom.   Mom came to the front of the room and gave Jeff a long, enduring hug....it was a poignant moment for all!!    Jeff's win was a harbinger for the night to come as the lucky group was on their way to the Casino.   Jeff, Barb, Cindy and Becky all hit mini-jackpots within the hour they were there and left considerably ahead ($100 total).

Riding the wave of good cheer the group made their way for sumptuous desserts and cappacino's at the beach bar - delicious!!!   After a moonlit walk on the beach we ended the night dancing, singing and having a great time at Beau Beau's where Jeff even was spotted cutting a rug....a perfect ending to a perfect day.
