Chequamegon Campground - $14, nice next to lake

After a long and tiring search of an open campgroung in Checamegan State forest, we finally found a lovely spot next to a lake in a forest with the last rays of sun. We saw deers grazing in the dawn, and Vero was so awed to see them at the roadside, she could not think of the English word for "deer". This is important as Marcos was happily driving along and looking at the left side of the road. Veronika noticed a couple of young deers on the right side and thought they might jump onto the road, so to warn Marcos not to drive into them she exclaimed "Oops, oops". Since then the following days deer would be called "Oopps".

At night some unidentified animals came to our tent to eat whatever they could find (rubbish we always leave in the car since passing the bear-country-test). The night was chilly, but our fantastic new Walmart $15 Dollar sleeping bags did their job!!
