An important day for us "landluvers". Neither of us had been fishing before so it was exciting when the Tautes offered to take us all for a ride on "Seabreeze" along the Cape Cod coast.
The tide was high at 11.30 am so we were all out and on board before midday and Rick took us to one of the fishing areas.
The ride itself was fun itself, but the best part came when both Don and Marcos were offered the honours of trying to catch some dinner. For new readers, Don has actually been on fishing expeditions for many a year, and his peculiar body movements are proof of a seasoned seaman. He has obviously spent many a sleepless nights watching videos of the Namibia Olympic Fishing Squad. To his defence he did catch both pieces that we took home for dinner, while Marcos only managed to attract small babies!
The video shows a bit of the action which lasted around 3 hours.
Given it was Football / Baseball Saturday the evening was spent around the kitchen table having some delicious yet huge pizzas brought in by Mr. Taute. For the record both the Red Socks (baseball) and Ohio State (American Football) won their games.
The evening ended with a bit of music listening on the communal iPod with Afroman being the one that stuck to our minds strongly. To see the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=305vRNoofr8
