What a relaxing day....it has been a long time since we actually had so many things to do that are not related to Mayan ruins!

After a delicious breakfast at our B&B (included in the price), we went off on a stroll to see the popular museum of "Na Baloom" which was created by a Danish and Swiss couple (now passed away) in order to study and protect the local mayan indian group Lacandios.

The museum entrance normally costs $3.50 per person, and we desperately tried to pay it, but there was no one at the ticket office (closed at 10 am) and no one else in the building wanted to get us some tickets. We later compensated by buying quite a lot of souvenirs from the local indians selling inside the museum (some sort of universal compensation...they were really chuffed!)

Anyway, great little museum with lots of photographs and information within a fantastic colonial house.

Afterwards we did a bit of religious climbing to one of the two churches at the top of the hills surrounding San Cristobal. Great views there (you can see from the pictures).

A bit of lunch with spicy bagels at "La casa del Bagel"...we had not seen one of these in months...simple but delicious.

Finally today we will see two movies in an "alternative cinema" ($2.50 the entrance). One is a documentary on Zapatistas (so more infor on that later) and the other is the oscared Bardem movie (No space for the weak or something like that).

Dinner will be pure mexican style!

Enjoy
