There is actually something entertaining to do in Omoa...the fortress of San Fernando. There is a museum next to it with all the information we already learnt at El Castillo (Nicaragua), but still worth a visit. At least it used up 3 hours of our day!
Sadly the beaches at Omoa are not worth it, although the water is warm. However, given the "love for littering" which the locals have, the place is a dump. There are plenty of bars and restaurants but they keep putting this lound music to make sure you lose your hearing asap...and the regaetton is just unbareable after 7 months! Terrible music...whatever happened to Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias and all that stuff!
To add insult to injury, there is no book exchange in this place, or newpapers to be bought...so we are forced to be laid back! And forget about going for long walks out of the main road...to dangerous.
Anyway, no entry tomorrow as its just the same as this one...TV, food and short walks with internet. We will happily leave Honduras tomorrow and move on to Belize where we are promised some better quality of beaches but still a laid back attitude! Lets wait and see.
Good bye
