We made it to La Esperanza...The Hope.

Again it was a long trip with several changes, with the frustrating fact that bus stops are always in different points of every town. As all bus companies are private ones, you have to travel to their main base, which by Sodīs Law is always on the other side of town.

The most frustrating part is that all our bus fares have been under $2 US no matter what distance, while we always have to pay between $2-4 US for the taxi to take us from one place to the other which is normally under 10 minutes. Anyway...still peanuts compared to European prices for travel.

So we travelled from the "interesting" town of Comayagua to Siguatepeque (nothing there) and on to La Esperanza. As we expected there was no connecting bus to Gracias today so we will stay here until Monday. Tomorrow is market day in La Esperanza and according to the information we have, this town gets very active on market days and all the local farmers descend to La Esperanza with their local dresses, etc.

Anyway, not much in La Esperanza apart from the Parque Central and the virgin at the top of the hill. There are some nice sights from there (its all carved into the mountain rock), and we had a short chat with a local traveller. He was an old man from Amapala which is an island on the South of Tegucigalpa. He was quite amazed at the size of La Esperanza and kept telling us "its very developed, it has a hospital"...

So tomorrow we will do the market visit and then watch the Eurocup final, leaving to Gracias the next day.
