Well...we made it to Granada, and with such a destination, we found an ATM machine!

Hurray for the adventurers!! They survived the Nicaraguan economic test!

Anyway, Granada is a beautiful colonial town, apparently the first city of Central America founded by the Spanish. Its importance was as main hub to connect the Atlantic with the Pacific along the river San Juan and the Lake Nicaragua.

As you can see from the pictures, its full of churchers and narrow streets with colonial houses.

Sadly it is also full of gringos which we had forgotten about during the last few days...alas!

Lots of  pictures today, but few comments as we are watching the Euro Football championships...they really follow them here! Spain is vey much supported here so the atmosphere will be great.

By the way...the main street for restaurants and bars...is also being rebuilt by Spanish aid! Its all over the place...as Telefonica (spanish telephone company) seems to be appearing too! Hmmm

Cheerio for the time being!
