Where I stayed
Hotel Avenida - 100 Bs double with bath - clean and good
It was great to be able to sleep as long as we needed and to be in a clean room with and endless hot shower.
Today is just a relax and wait day (laundry, internet, reading and preparing trips). Given we are travelling with Valerie from France we spend most of our time speaking French. All that effort in Paris to learn French has finally paid off in Bolivia! How ironic...
Our train leaves Uyuni at 10.45 pm and arrives at Tupiza at 4am where we have booked a hotel. We are sure it will be a great experience as its our first Bolivian train journey, but it will be another night travelling and probably not sleeping too much or well.
We have been trying Coca Mate during this trip which is supposed to give energy and avoid sleep, but it doesnt seem to have much effect on us. Perhaps it is too weak or we need to try it directly. Coca leaves in tea by the way are not drugs...just in case anyone is wondering, or at least not a worse drug than Nescafe...
Cheerio for the time being!
