Our final trekking trip this week took us to the National Park of Cucao (the only town on the West side of the Island of Chiloe).

Suprisingly the West side is normally quite windy and rainy...Darwin said he found the area one of the most rainy ones in the World. However, we must be an exception and we have now had 4 days of totally clear and hot days since we arrived in Chiloe. Surely we have used all the sun quota for 2008 in Chiloe!

The National Park has an excellent beach, with kilometres of untouched Dunes and great wildlife.

Great things today:
- Cows sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Never thought they did!
- Shepherd dog walking around with us all day long.
- Excellent 800 metres dug along the Telpu forrest which shows has thick the forrest type is and how tough it was to open ways in the past.

We ended the day in the local fair next to Chonchi where we saw the Chilean typical dance (La Cueca).

Off to Puerto Montt tomorrow morning
