We have now spent a couple of relaxing days in Santiago de Chile, and have caught up with the minor jet lag we carried from Paris - although Veronika keeps reminding me it might have been the leaving beers (ah yes...those splendid three last weeks...).

Pablo and Meli (Veronika┤s Uncle and Aunt) showed us round Santiago on Sunday, visiting La Moneda, Plaza de Armas, the Museo Historico Nacional, el Cerro and the splendid lunch at "El Giratorio" (a French built restaurant that moves 360 degrees at the top of a tower - great views of all Santiago.

Monday after walking around ourselves for quite a few kilometres, we finally met with Raul (good old friend who worked at Marsh in Madrid with me, and who I tortured for a few months when he lived in my humble palace, and then later in London) and Gabriela. They took us to La Liguerea where we tasted some of the great Chilean tapas classics and indulged in Pisco Sour and Kunstmann beer (brewed in Chile by German colonials).

Anyway...the day has come and we picked up our rent-a-camper which is slightly larger than we expected inside...except for the Potty Potty which is still challenging me. The stories that will come from that peculiar object!

We might take a couple of days until the next update....depends on the earthquakes...
