Once I arrived at Sentosa Island, we hopped off at the first station which stops  at the Universal Studios junction. It is such a great area and the first thing one would be able to see is the string of hotels on the island attached to the Park.

As we walked further and further inside, the scorching weather made it felt that we walked for almost an hour in the heat, but it was just a mere 15 minutes, we reached the compound of Hard Rock Hotel. Since it was still 11 am, we were not allowed to check in as the check in time was not due until three in the afternoon. With that, we just completed the registration exercise at the hotel , which was fairly straight forward, and then left the bags there with the intention of returning again at 3pm.

We went straight to the Park, such a great expanse. It was so crowded, being a weekend and a public holiday in Singapore. There were so many things to do, so many rides to try, so many photographs to take and the only thing that stood in my way was the weather and the heat.

Well, we just accepted the fact that we had come this far to enjoy the park and not complain about the heat. Thus being said, we just put the idea of the heat behind the head....though it never really went off.....and continued with the park. We enjoyed taking photographs with some of the cartoon characters and then moved on street by street trying various games and presentations that were available.

Of course, most games, the waiting time was somewhere between 30 to 45 minutes but we did not mind. Of course, I did not try all the games, just choose a few which I had a liking. Best among the lot (which I felt) was an amazing movie experience by Steven Spielberg and followed by the Revenge of the Mummy and lastly...Jurassic Park...

After our numerous games, activities and intermittent dining, both for cold drinks and an occasional dip in the air conditioned restaurants, we decided to return to the hotel at 2.15 pm. As I walked out of the park, the ticket inspector asked us if we would be returning later that evening again and we said ....yes (as my ticket was entitled to unlimited entries for a single day) and he stamped an invisible mark on my hand which carried the date, time of exit which could only be read under an Ultra Violet light...amazing.

We took the brief walk back to the hotel and again at the reception. It was a gamble I took as it was only a quarter past two in the afternoon, but the lady behind the desk was kind enough to give me the room. It was Room 0463,fourth floor & facing the Straits of Singapore.(the small sea in between Singapore Island and Sentosa Island)

Once up in the room, there was absolutely nothing to complain. The room was simply fantastic and in my mind, the only thought that came up, was to enjoy the air cond and get a good afternoon nap. Even the entire hotel facade and setting was simply marvelous. What one believe if I had said that even the lift was bejewelled with rows of Crystal on the walls. Setting my alarm function in my mobile to trigger at 6 pm,  we took a good afternoon rest after the tired day.
