A short trip to Port Dickson. P.D. is a great escapade for the family and we had a great time. Try the Regency Hotel for its delicacies. Good atmosphere and right price. Great taste. The Sri Rama Thai Restaurant in Regency is great too.
Today we went up Cape Rachado ( Tg. Tuan) which houses the oldest lighthouse in the country. Suprisingly, this area comes under Alor Gajah District, Melaka...probably due to historical reasons. The walk up is tiring. There are trails which you could take as well. The view from the cape is spectacular. Parameswara, the 1st Sultan of Malacca, was buried somewhere in this cape. The grave was destroyed during the battle of the 16th century between the Portugese and the Dutch. The great ship 'Nassau', sunk at this cape. Also to be found here is Hang Tuah's footprints and a sacred Hindu temple (Lord Anjaneya). You could also find the 'Dutch Well'. Once at the top, you could take the stairway down to the sea. After this, we went for lunch to Sri Rama Thai Restaurant at the Regency.
