Where I stayed
Once back to the hotel, I took a short nap. I was quite exhausted as well. Then later packed all my stuffs into the bags and went down to the lobby at 2pm.
However, none of them were visible. Started intercom them in their rooms and they all overslept. Luckily I woke them up. In half an hours time, all were down and we cleared the check out procedure. Luckily these guys did not tell us to pay an additional day for the extra time.
From there, the shuttle was waiting to transport us back to the airport. We arrived at the airport and the check in procedure went on smoothly.
Finally, since we had a few hours in our hands, we all went seperate ways shopping at the airport. The Dubai airport was huge and shopping outlets were everywhere. I guess, in Dubai, you could spend even USD 100,000 in less than one hour.
I did quite a bit of shopping too and then headed to the eatery to have my lunch cum dinner. Well, I just had some Mc Donalds here and then continued to shop. My ultimatum was to finish all Dirhams (local UAE Currency) here at the airport.
After the great shopping time, I headed to the waiting room until the flight was called. The ladies were still shopping and had to be paged so that they did not miss their flights. Luckily, the flight waited for them. Hehehe
Hmm, I was just hoping that my co traveller would not be that big this time. Luckily, I got the seats just to myself. Though we had to fly Malaysian Airlines, I believe there was a code share between Malaysian Airlines and Emirates and they had put us on Emirates. This was a flight coming from Turkey, with a stop over at Dubai, then Kuala Lumpur and from there heading to Singapore. Finally the flight took off smoothly.
