Where I stayed
Another busy day at the exhibition. Some of the delegates were leaving today so there were quite a bit of photography session happening.
And on the other side, we had the Sri Lankan ambassador to UAE come and officiate the Sri Lankan Pavillion. Here I have posted some of those photographs as well.
Pretty much after work, I headed back to the hotel. Did not want to spend much money on food as I had some pastries earlier at the launch, so I stopped over at the small shop in the train station and got myself some potato chips and bun. Well, the bill again was RM 20.
Later at night,I went back alone to Deira City Centre as I had planned to buy some items to be taken back both for myself and as souvenirs. The truth is I went back because I had planned to buy a Swiss Made Watch (its really cheap here compared to Malaysia or Singapore). :D
Right after shopping there, I crossed the street to another recently opened outlet called Day To Day. This is found everywhere in Dubai but this was the largest, almost like a huge supermarket and they operate 24 hours. Somewhat like Al Kabyl which I visited a few days earlier. You could find all kinds of merchandise here from food to souvenirs and the entire first floor is selling clothing. Got some perfumes here that were made in UAE, something of a momento. I liked the packaging more than the smell itself. Most UAE made perfumes have a strong musky smell, unlike the ones from Europe.
I shopped till around 2 am and then just crossed the road back to my hotel to call it a night.

Comments
Dubai is a great place to shop. Singapore and Hong Kong have fallen behind recently. I think Dubai is slowly becoming the shoppers paradise of the World. It already made its mark as The place to shop in Asia.
Hie Jay, yeah what you mentioned is 100% true.
