Immediately, I went down to meet him. After the check out procedure, I left the baggage at the reception counter and we headed to Surya Supermarket which is the only multi story supermarket in Phnom Penh. It is located just beside the Central Market, 10 minutes walking time from the hotel that I had stayed.
It is a nice supermarket, a little less organized, otherwise it is okay. To me, it seems more like an air conditioned Central Market as there were more stalls than a real supermarket inside. We spent some time there until 1.20 pm and then walked back to the hotel. Just to add another point, there is a cineplex and a skating arena on the top floor of the supermarket which attracts most of the crowd to this building, not much for the shopping but just for these entertainments.
The driver had not arrived yet at the hotel as he was stuck in a little traffic but luckily, he arrived at 1.32 pm and we left for the airport.
