Its a public holiday today and am alone at home for the weekend. I would be meeting an old friend tonight but thats just for tonight, so how about tomorrow. Felt like going somewhere, not too far from Kuala Lumpur, otherwise I would be getting stuck in the traffic jam tomorrow when I return.
I was going through my travel notes which I have and realized that one of the places I wanted to go few years ago but then had to postpone the trip because that place was closed down for renovations. The place I mentioned is the Paya Indah Wetlands in Dengkil, Selangor.
Did some research on the internet and found out that the place has resumed operations.I called the number which I found on the net which is the local offices' number and they informed me that they have resumed operations and are now open everyday except on Mondays and the place opens at 8.30 am on weekdays and 7.30 am on weekends. That is when I made the decision to go there tomorrow morning.
Immediately, charged my camera batteries and made the necessary packing for the short trip. Jotted down the directions from my tele conversation earlier and hope I can find the place without a problem. It started raining here very heavily at 5.00pm. Hopefully this rain would not contribute to the place being soggy tomorrow morning and I truly hope too that it does not rain in the morning as well. Or else, that would ruin my entire trip. Shall update the blog with clear directions to the place and more photographs from the sanctuary.
I truly hope that the place has what it used to have...the natural charm of nature. Surrounded by hippopotamus, crocodiles and more than 200 species of birds. Let me check it out tomorrow. Hope to arrive there before 7.30 am to catch the birds in action.
