Discovering Glory Beach Resort
As we stepped out of the apartment unit, we were going through the facilities that were available within this resort and it had quite an offering. There was a spa, tennis courts, a sports bar, gymnasium, swimming pool, wading pool, jacuzzi, steam room, Balinese traditional massage, a turtle hatchery & conservation center, a giant Arapaima pool, beach volleyball and a mini market.
Once down, we head over to the restaurant first as my parents were quite tired and placed our orders. While dinner was being prepared, we the younger generation set out to discover the place and the first attraction we headed to was the Giant Arapaima pond as you can see from the photos.
With that discovery done, we also walked a while by the beach and then took a walk in the gardens closer to the apartment. We could not hang out much longer as the mosquito's were many and they kept biting us.
We then head back to the restaurant. The restaurant was great and the setting was nice. One thing that I disliked was the sighting of cats inside the restaurant and they kept sitting by the tables making all kind of sounds requesting for food and the waiters and management did nothing about it.
Food took quite a while to arrive and I observed that most of the waiters were school students who were working part time during the school holidays. Thats good to see as they did not waste time like most others and used this opportunity to raise some pocket money for themselves.
The first dish, the Fried Kuey Tiow arrived after 45 minutes. This dish was quite soggy and oily but edible.
The next dish to arrive was my Lamb Chop which was excellent and then followed by Fish & Chips which was very good too. I suppose the chef was somewhat more familiar with Western dishes or perhaps he specialized in it. I definitely enjoyed my dinner and after an hour with dinner done, we head back to the apartment to enjoy the late night Deepavali movie.
On the whole, it was a decent dining experience and the price charged was reasonable too, not resort price.

Comments
Oh! I know these mosquitoes out there in the most warmer countries. I once had an attack suddenly while I was looking over a pineapple plant. Hundreds came out the moment I touched the plant! I can still remember the bites I had.
Sad that you had that experience Popi but I guess you surely know what I mean here ....can become quite intense with the bites.
The restaurant is extremely quiet but the food photos surely look good.
True Jay, it's pretty much a night diner. Food is good and price is cheap. Highly recommended!
