This evening, I grabbed my camera and head to one of the old cave temples in Ipoh. Ipoh has loads of limestone caves and therefore, many Hindu and Buddhist cave temples came about.
This particular cave temple is located at the very end of Kuala Kangsar Road after the North South Highway exit. Being instituted in 1926 by a Buddhist Monk from China, it is located in the Tasek Caves, a cluster of caves that sprawl a distance of 35 kilometres
Beyond the main altar which is a Buddha in the seated position which has a height of 12 meters, there are another 40 statues and then there is a passageway through the caves that leads to the peak where one can catch a panoramic view of the city of Ipoh.
Unfortunately, by the time I arrived, the temple main gate had closed and I was only allowed to take photographs from the exterior of the temple. I do hope to come back again in the near future and probably do a stream of blogs on all the cave temples in Ipoh. There are also some caves which are protected which has evidence that prehistoric men did once live there. This is suggested by the drawings on the cave walls and also the utensils and fossils which were found there. Hope to be able to capture that in my lens too one day.

Even though the Temple Door was closed yet you managed to take several photos and present a nice entry .
Lovely photos!!! Hope that in the near future we could get some photos of the inside of the temple. I went there around 20 years ago when I was still in primary school. Brings about a lot of memories bro.
Thank you very much Popi for the kind words.
Thank you Jay, I shall try to make another trip in the future, except earlier before the gates close and try to get more photos.
