Here are a few pictures and a little movie clip of some recent auroras. Since the town is so lit up, they're hard to see unless you get out of town. The other night, this show went on for quite awhile and luckily some people were out there taking pictures (not me, brrrr).

I've included a picture of the view from Pegasus Airfield, the sun is slowly returning. It's still cold though--the low this month was -51 F and -131 F with the windchill. I've been told that August is generally stormier than any other month so we haven't seen the worst of it yet.

It's going to be so great when we get to New Zealand in October, it'll be Spring!
